Jenny Miller-Westcott has 13 years of experience in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and English Literature from Florida State University, a Post Baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico, as well as a Masters of Education degree in child psychology from Northern Arizona University. She is certified in K-8 Elementary Education with a full SEI endorsement.
Jenny has spent her teaching career working with Native American Students on both the Pueblo and Gila River Reservations in New Mexico and Phoenix, respectively. She has consistently received high honors (including Gila River Teacher of the Year) for her outstanding student achievement. She often serves in leadership capacities on such committees as: Reading Leadership Committee, Math Leadership Committee and Curriculum Committee (among many others). Most recently, she provides coaching and training to teachers and administrators as part of the Common Core Writing Academy.
Jenny also loves coaching student sports (such as soccer) and she spends many of her holidays from school in pursuit of athletic endeavors such as hiking the Grand Canyon or participating in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk.
